A small bakery with a big oven
Crumbwell is a six-person bakery with a stone-deck oven. We start at 4am, shape every loaf by hand and bake in small batches through the morning, so there is warm bread until we sell out. Our sourdough starter has been fed every day since we opened, and our flour comes from a regional mill.

Common questions
How much notice do you need for a cake?
48 hours for our standard flavours and 5 days for a custom design or tiered cake. Call or send the form with your date.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?
We bake a vegan chocolate cake and vegan cookies every day. Our kitchen uses wheat flour, so we can't promise anything is gluten-free.
Can I reserve bread?
Yes. Pre-order by 2pm and we'll hold it at the counter the next morning until noon.
What time does the bread sell out?
Most days the sourdough lasts until early afternoon. On Saturdays it can go by 11am, so pre-order if you have your heart set on a loaf.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, to cafes, restaurants and offices within delivery range. Ask for our wholesale list.
Is there seating?
We have 12 seats inside and two benches out front.
