Hartwell Law Group is a small practice serving individuals, families and local businesses. At the first meeting we tell you what we think your options are, what the next steps would be and what it will cost. Simple matters like wills and home purchases have flat fees. Everything else gets a written quote or estimate before we start, and we call you before going over it.

How do I start?
Call or use the form to book a 30-minute consultation. Tell us briefly what it is about so the right lawyer meets with you.
What does the first consultation cost?
The initial 30-minute consultation is $150, credited to your account if you go ahead with us. Will and real estate enquiries can usually be quoted by phone at no charge.
How much does a will cost?
A simple will is a flat $450, or $750 for a couple with mirror wills. Packages with powers of attorney and health care directives are listed under Fees.
When should I contact you about a home purchase?
As soon as your offer is accepted. We need your accepted offer, your lender's details and about two weeks before your completion date to do the title search and prepare documents.
What should I bring?
Photo ID and any documents about your matter, such as an offer to purchase, an existing will, a lease or a draft agreement. We send a short checklist when you book.
Can we meet online?
Yes. Consultations can be by video, phone or at our office. Wills and some documents still need to be signed in person, which takes about 20 minutes.
