Common questions
My door won't open and I heard a loud bang. What happened?
That's almost always a broken torsion spring. Don't try to lift the door or use the opener. Call us and we'll replace the springs, usually the same day.
Can I replace a garage door spring myself?
We don't recommend it. Torsion springs hold enough tension to cause serious injury, and they need special winding bars and the right spring size for your door's weight.
Why replace both springs if only one broke?
They were installed at the same time and have done the same number of cycles. The second one usually breaks within months, so replacing both saves you a second visit.
Do you work on all brands of doors and openers?
Yes. We repair most residential door and opener brands, and we'll tell you honestly if an old opener is worth fixing.
How long does a new door install take?
About half a day once the door arrives, which is usually 2 to 3 weeks after you order. We remove and haul away the old door.
What warranty do you give?
Lifetime warranty on the springs we install, 1 year on labour, and the manufacturer's warranty on doors and openers.
