Common questions
Why do paver patios sink or heave?
Almost always a thin or poorly compacted base. We dig 8 to 10 in, lay compacted gravel in layers and add edge restraints so the patio stays level for years.
When is the best time to plant?
Spring and early fall for most trees and shrubs. We can plant through summer if you can water regularly, and we'll leave you a watering schedule.
Do you offer design only?
Yes. A design plan with a planting list is $450, and it's credited to your build if we do the work.
When does weekly maintenance start?
Plans start in mid-April with a spring clean-up and run until the end of October. Spots fill by March, so it's worth booking early.
Do I need a permit for a retaining wall?
Walls over about 4 ft usually need an engineered design and a permit. We'll tell you at the site visit and arrange it if needed.
