Flooring without the mess
Plankwise is a small flooring shop with a showroom and two install crews who work only for us, never subcontracted. We measure every room ourselves, check the subfloor before we quote, and give you one installed price so there are no surprise charges on install day.

Common questions
Engineered or solid hardwood?
Engineered hardwood is more stable with changes in humidity and can go over concrete, so it suits most main floors and condos. Solid hardwood can be sanded more times over its life but needs a wood subfloor.
Which floor is best for a basement?
Luxury vinyl plank. It's waterproof, feels warmer than tile and can float over concrete. We test the slab for moisture before we recommend anything.
Do you move furniture?
Yes, beds, sofas and tables are included. Please empty bookshelves and china cabinets, and unplug electronics before we arrive.
How long does install take?
Most homes take 1 to 3 days. Hardwood should sit in your home for 2 to 3 days before install so it adjusts to the room.
What is included in the installed price?
Removal and disposal of one layer of old flooring, standard underlay, installation, transitions at doorways and clean-up. Levelling and new baseboards are listed separately on your quote.
