FAQ

Common questions

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel a light tap or a dull ache as a needle goes in, then very little. The needles are much finer than those used for injections.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on what you are coming in for. Your acupuncturist will suggest a plan at your first visit and review it after three or four treatments.

Is acupuncture covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans cover acupuncture by a registered practitioner. We direct bill many plans, so check yours before your visit.

What should I wear?

Loose clothing you can roll up to the knees and elbows. We provide blankets and gowns if needed.

Are the needles reused?

Never. Every needle is sterile, single-use and disposed of right after your treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us 24 hours' notice so we can offer the time to someone on the waitlist.
