Instructors who stay calm
Steerwell is a small driving school with four instructors and four dual-control cars. Every instructor is licensed and has taught for at least five years. We keep every lesson one-on-one, give written notes after each one, and never rush you into a road test before you're ready.

Common questions
Do I need a learner's licence first?
Yes. You need a valid learner's licence before your first lesson. Bring it every time, and your instructor checks it at pickup.
How many lessons will I need?
Most new drivers need 10 to 15 lessons before the road test, plus practice at home. After your first lesson we give you an honest estimate.
Can I use your car for the road test?
Yes. The road test package includes a warm-up lesson right before your test and the use of our car.
Where do lessons start?
We pick you up from home, school or work anywhere in our service area, and drop you back at the end.
Do you teach in a manual car?
Our cars are automatic. We can arrange a manual car for refresher lessons. Ask when you book.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel or move a lesson for free up to 24 hours before. Later than that, the lesson is charged.
