Common questions
Does every room have a private bathroom?
Yes. Four rooms have an ensuite, and the Garden Room has a private bathroom across the hall, with robes provided.
Can you cater to dietary needs?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we'll plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free breakfasts for your stay.
Do you accept children or pets?
Thistlegate is adults only, to keep the house quiet, and we can't take pets. We're happy to suggest a local kennel.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free off-street parking for one car per room, and a locked shed for bikes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. Inside 7 days, we charge the first night unless we can rebook the room.
Can I check in late?
We greet guests from 3pm to 8pm. If you're arriving later, let us know and we'll leave your key in a lockbox.
