How we build

Six steps, one team.

The same people from the first walk on your land to handing you the keys. Here is what happens, and roughly how long it takes.

A model house on its drawings, set on a table on an empty forest lot

Step 1 and 2 — 2 weeks

Lot visit and a first idea

We walk your land with you, then come back with a sketch, a site model and a budget range. No charge for the visit.

  • Sun, slope and view studied on site
  • A first sketch and model
  • An honest budget range
A pegged mortise and tenon joint, a square resting on the beam

Step 3 and 4 — 8 to 12 weeks

Drawings and a fixed price

Full drawings, engineering and a line-by-line price. Once you sign, the price is fixed. It only changes if you change the house, and you see that in writing first.

  • Drawings and engineering included
  • Every line priced
  • Permits handled by us

Step 5 — 10 to 14 months

Frame and build

Our carpenters cut the frame and raise it in a few days. Then the house closes in and the finishing starts. You get photos and a short note every Friday.

  • Frame cut and raised by our crew
  • One site lead for the whole build
  • Friday photo updates

Step 6

Keys, and after

We walk the finished house with you, fix anything on the list, then come back after your first year to check it again.

  • Walk-through before keys
  • One-year check visit
  • 10-year structural warranty

It all starts with a walk.
